Each game builds one piece. One star unlocks it, and more stars upgrade it through four tiers.
How it works
Each piece reads the best stars you saved in that game, in this browser. One star unlocks the piece; 40%, 70% and 100% of the game’s stars unlock tiers 2, 3 and 4. The comet comes back in every week you finish the weekly Orbit Quiz.
The picture is a sketch, not to scale. Orbits are drawn as seen from slightly above, and planets, moons, the probe and the comet follow Kepler’s laws: periods grow as the orbit size to the power 1.5, so outer bodies move slower, and the comet speeds up near its star. Each moon is lit on the side facing the star. The facts on each card come from the sources named there and from the science notes of each game.
Nothing about you leaves this device. The name comes from a fixed list of made-up names, so a shared link can only ever show one of those, and the link holds nothing else but the tier of each piece. Privacy.
